The Gladiator bracelet is a stretchable bracelet with tiger eye beads and a Gladiator helmet bead made of 925 Sterling Silver dipped in Rhodium.

Due to its unique appearance, Tiger's eye stone has been known and widely used since ancient times. Egyptians believed it to be a form of the “all-seeing eye” and used it to make actual eyes for gods’ statues. Tiger's eye was carried to battle by Roman soldiers, who thought it would give them the strength and courage of a tiger.

Tiger’s eye can be used as a good luck stone, inspiring confidence while protecting you against curses or ill will. This protection also helps you to lead a more balanced life, free of fear while confidently stepping up and taking action to further your life. It challenges you to step outside of the box and make a positive impact on the world around you. (via goldenagebeads.com)

As with all metals, special care must be taken to ensure they do not scratch or tarnish. Below is a general guideline:

  1. Store jewelry in a clean, dry place away from natural sunlight, humidity (bathroom), and heat.
  2. Each piece should be stored individually to avoid scratching, in an air-tight zip lock if possible to avoid air contact.
  3. Remove jewelry before showering, going to bed, or participating in physical activity especially swimming. Remove rings before washing your hands every time.
  4. Avoid exposure to sweat and harsh chemicals such as perfumes, cleaning agents, chlorine, and saltwater.
  5. Use a silver-polishing cloth to clean the pieces if the jewelry has become dull.

Oxidation appears with time as this is just the metal (silver or brass) reacting to the oxygen in the air. Thus, this is considered normal wear and tear and is not a defect.
